Spirit Airlines has abruptly ceased operations after 34 years, leaving thousands of customers stranded. The shutdown highlights the impact of rising fuel prices on the airline industry.

Sean Duffy from the U.S. Department of Transportation warned passengers: “If you have a flight scheduled with Spirit Airlines, don’t show up at the airport – there will be no one here to assist you.” This situation reflects broader travel disruptions affecting many customers.
