RS Ambrish, a teenage all-rounder, steps into the IPL spotlight as a mid-season replacement for the injured Shivam Mavi. Sunrisers Hyderabad signed Ambrish after Mavi was ruled out of IPL 2026 due to a groin injury.

Ambrish, 18, played a significant role in the recent ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup 2026. He was part of the India Under-19 squad that won the tournament. In addition, he was the joint-highest wicket-taker for India Under-19, claiming 11 wickets.

As a right-arm medium pacer and left-handed batter, Ambrish brings versatility to the squad. He will join Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 30 lakh.

Ambrish made his first-class debut for Tamil Nadu in October 2025. Since then, he has picked up 2 wickets and scored 43 runs in his first-class outings.
