The commercial LPG cylinder price in Bengaluru has reached an all-time high, prompting inevitable price hikes in food items at local restaurants. The price of a commercial gas cylinder was hiked by ₹993 on April 30, bringing the total to ₹3,152.

P. C. Rao, President of the Bengaluru Hotels’ Association, stated, “A price hike in all food items in restaurants and eateries is inevitable.” This surge in costs is affecting the local food business significantly.

Commercial LPG cylinder prices have surged by ₹933 recently, creating economic strain for small food businesses across India. The government has shielded households from domestic LPG price rises, but commercial kitchens are feeling the pressure.

The current situation is exacerbated by ongoing crises in West Asia, which have contributed to rising energy costs globally. Local eateries are now forced to adjust their pricing strategies to cope with these increased expenses.

This latest increase marks the highest recorded price for commercial LPG cylinders in Bengaluru. As businesses navigate these changes, many are concerned about the long-term implications for both their operations and customer affordability.
