The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) has announced an extension for corporate taxpayers. The new reporting deadline for annual income tax returns is May 31, 2026. This decision aims to enhance services for taxpayers as part of ongoing improvements in their tax administration system.

The previous deadline was set for April 30, 2026. However, individual taxpayers will still need to meet the April deadline. This extension specifically applies to corporations.

Finance Minister Purba Yudi Sadeva directed the extension. Bimo Vijayanto, the Director General of Taxes, emphasized that this move responds to the need for improved taxpayer services.

DJP is currently enhancing its core tax administration system called CoreTax. This upgrade aims to streamline processes and better assist taxpayers.

During the reporting period, DJP will provide personal assistance every day from Monday to Sunday. This support is intended to help taxpayers navigate their obligations more easily.

Bimo Vijayanto stated, “We are processing this for the extension of the reporting period; we will issue it soon.” He added that the extension is crucial for improving services for all taxpayers.

These changes reflect DJP’s commitment to making tax compliance easier and more efficient. The focus on taxpayer support aligns with broader goals of enhancing public trust in the tax system.

As the new deadline approaches, corporate taxpayers are encouraged to prepare their submissions accordingly. The DJP’s efforts aim not only to ease compliance but also to foster a cooperative relationship with all stakeholders involved in the tax process.
