New train services are set to launch from Kakinada to major cities like Varanasi and Delhi. These new railway services aim to accommodate the seasonal rush of passengers expected during the summer months.

On May 1, 2026, the South Central Railway (SCR) announced extended services. They extended the Danapur-SMVT Bengaluru special train to handle increased passenger demand. This decision comes as part of efforts to improve connectivity during peak travel times.

Additionally, a special train from Hyderabad to Gorakhpur was also notified. This service will help clear the extra rush of passengers during the summer season.

The announcement by MP Uday Srinivas highlighted the importance of these new routes. He stated that they would provide better access for travelers from Kakinada to key destinations.

Officials expect these services will significantly ease travel for many. The trains were notified specifically to address the extra passenger load anticipated in the coming months.

This development is crucial for enhancing railway connectivity in Andhra Pradesh. It reflects ongoing efforts by authorities to improve transportation infrastructure in response to public needs.
