The introduction of a second attempt for MHT CET marks a significant change in the examination process, allowing students more opportunities to improve their scores. The second attempt begins on May 9, 2026, and is open to 492,383 students.

Key facts:

  • The MBA/MMS CET will also be conducted on May 9, 2026, for 53,931 candidates.
  • The PCB group exam is scheduled for May 10 and 11, 2026, with 116,538 students participating.
  • The PCM group exam runs from May 12 to May 21, 2026, excluding May 16 and 17, with 321,914 candidates registered.
  • In the first attempt, a total of 896,236 students registered, with an attendance rate of 92.99%, as 833,482 appeared for the exam.

This year marks the first time the CET Cell has introduced two attempts for these entrance exams. The initiative follows the model of national-level tests like JEE (Main). Candidates can choose to appear for both attempts; however, at least one attempt is mandatory.

The higher percentile score will be considered for admission if a candidate appears for both attempts. A score of 100 marks in MHT CET is expected to correspond to a percentile range of around 88 to 92 for PCM and between 85 and 90 for PCB.

The official release of the MHT CET 2026 Answer Key Session 1 is expected by May 2, 2026. Candidates can download the answer key and response sheet from cetcell.mahacet.org.

Officials have confirmed that the MBA answer keys will also be available on May 2. A score of over 170 marks is likely to place candidates in the top tier of performers.
