Parents express concerns about sending their children to school during the heat. Renuka, a parent, stated, “It has become difficult for parents to drop their children at Anganwadi schools and pick them up after half-day classes due to severe heatwaves.” Anganwadi teachers also noted that parents are hesitant to send their children due to fears of heat-related illnesses.
This year’s early vacation announcement marks a shift in response to increasing temperatures. Officials in various states have prioritized student safety amid rising heatwave incidents.
The upcoming election results may also influence future school schedules. However, no specific changes related to elections have been confirmed yet.
