Dubai Travel Disrupted as Ameesha Patel’s Flight Diverted
Ameesha Patel’s flight was diverted to Muscat on May 4, 2026, due to missile attacks that prompted the closure of UAE airspace. This incident highlights the ongoing conflict affecting travel to Dubai.
The UAE has intercepted a total of 2,260 drones, 549 ballistic missiles, and 29 cruise missiles since the war began on February 28, 2026. A fresh wave of missile and drone strikes targeted the UAE on the same day as Patel’s diversion.
Patel was traveling from New York City to Mumbai when her flight was rerouted. She expressed concern on social media, stating, “We have now been diverted to MUSCAT n are awaiting further updates!! When will this WAR end!! Praying (sic).”
Three moderate injuries were reported in Fujairah due to missile interceptions. The UAE government remains on high alert to ensure the safety of residents and visitors.
