The introduction of On-Screen Marking for the first time aims to modernize the evaluation process and speed up result compilation for the CBSE Class 12 examinations. The results are expected to be released in the third week of May 2026. This new digital marking system is designed to enhance accuracy and efficiency in grading.

CBSE conducted the Class 12 board examinations from February 17 to April 10, 2026. Students must achieve at least 33% marks in each theory paper and in the combined total for every subject to pass. This requirement ensures that students demonstrate a minimum level of understanding across their subjects.

Sanyam Bhardwaj, an official at CBSE, stated that the process is functioning ‘perfectly’ and remains firmly on schedule. He dismissed reports suggesting disruptions in the digital evaluation system as ‘far away from facts.’ This assurance aims to build confidence among students and parents regarding the timely release of results.
