Abishek Porel is expected to replace Pathum Nissanka in the Delhi Capitals lineup. The change comes as the team prepares for IPL 2026.

Porel had a notable season last year, playing 13 matches. He demonstrated his ability to score quickly, achieving a strike rate of 163.04 in his first ten balls faced during the powerplay since 2021.

In a recent match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Porel contributed significantly. He scored 30 runs, helping his team amid a challenging situation.
