The Yamaha Factor DX stands out for its ability to run on 100% ethanol, aligning with global trends towards sustainable fuel options. Yamaha launched the Factor DX in Brazil on May 5, 2026, pricing it at BRL 18,990. This model builds on the existing Factor 150, incorporating additional features to enhance its appeal.

Key features:

• The Factor DX can operate on 100% petrol or 100% ethanol and various blends of both.
• It includes Pack Plus accessories such as USB charging ports and a main stand.
• Available colors are Titanium Grey, Racing Blue, and Midnight Black.
• The motorcycle has a kerb weight of 133 kg and a fuel tank capacity of 15.4 liters.

The Factor DX is equipped with a fully digital LCD cluster and features LED DRLs, revised graphics, and painted wheels. It has a seat height of 785 mm and a minimum ground clearance of 170 mm. The motorcycle boasts a 149cc single-cylinder engine rated at 11.8 bhp with petrol and 12 bhp with ethanol.

This launch comes amid growing competition in the Brazilian motorcycle market, where Yamaha’s FZ series has gained significant popularity. The introduction of flex fuel technology may attract more environmentally conscious consumers looking for commuter motorcycles.

Yet, uncertainties remain regarding whether the Factor DX will be launched in India. No timeline has been shared for potential expansion into other markets.
