MHT CET: Significant Changes with Second Attempt in 2026
The introduction of a second attempt for MHT CET begins on May 9, 2026. This change allows 4,92,383 students to retake the exam and improve their scores.
The MBA/MMS CET will coincide with this date, accommodating 53,931 candidates. The PCB group exam is scheduled for May 10 and 11, with 1,16,538 students participating. The PCM group exam runs from May 12 to May 21, excluding May 16 and 17, involving 3,21,914 candidates.
This year marks the first time the CET Cell has introduced two attempts for these entrance exams. In the first attempt, 8,96,236 students registered, with 8,33,482 appearing, leading to an attendance rate of 92.99%.

- The official release of the MHT CET 2026 Answer Key Session 1 is expected by May 2, 2026.
- Candidates can download the answer key and response sheet from cetcell.mahacet.org.
- A score of 100 marks is expected to correspond to a percentile range of around 88 to 92 for PCM and 85 to 90 for PCB.
The higher percentile score will be considered for admission if a candidate appears for both attempts. However, appearing for at least one exam is mandatory.
The CET Cell has officially confirmed that the MBA answer keys will be available on May 2. A score of 170+ is likely to place candidates in the top 0.1%.
