Madhya Pradesh’s education department will introduce a new transfer policy to address long-standing issues in the transfer process. This policy will be separate from those of other departments. The Cabinet is expected to approve the policy soon.

The School Education Department plans to lift the current transfer ban for one month starting May 15, 2026. This change aims to facilitate voluntary transfers of teachers, increasing the current limit from 20 posts to 200 posts in a cadre.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized the need for timely implementation. He stated, “If it had already been decided to bring the transfer policy soon, it should have been implemented by now.” Food and Civil Supplies Minister Govind Singh Rajput noted that a large number of applications are received, especially when MLAs are involved.

The second Class 10 board examination for CBSE is set to begin on May 15, 2026. This timing coincides with the planned lifting of the transfer ban, which may impact teachers involved in exam preparations.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra conducted its SSC examination from February 20 to March 18, 2026. Results are anticipated in May 2026, following past trends where results were announced around mid-May.

Key statistics regarding Maharashtra SSC results:

  • A total of 16,10,908 students registered for the exam in 2025.
  • 15,98,553 students appeared for the exam.
  • 14,87,399 students passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 93.04%.

The new transfer policy is crucial for many educators seeking stability and career advancement. It reflects ongoing efforts by the Madhya Pradesh government to streamline educational processes and improve working conditions within schools.
