Two separate low-intensity explosions occurred near military installations in Punjab within hours of each other. The incidents took place outside the BSF Headquarters in Jalandhar and an Army establishment at Khasa in Amritsar.

Key facts:

Twin explosions were reported, with the first occurring around 8 pm when a scooter parked near the BSF headquarters caught fire.

A second explosion was heard around 10:50 pm near the boundary wall of the Army cantonment area on Khasa road.

No casualties or major damage were reported from either explosion.

Initial investigations indicate that Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were used in both explosions. Police and Army personnel responded promptly to investigate the incidents. Bomb disposal and forensic teams were deployed to examine the sites and collect evidence.

Amritsar Rural SSP Sohail Qasim Mir noted, “A tin sheet mounted on the boundary wall had been damaged and had fallen.” He added that the exact nature of the blasts has not been ascertained yet.

The explosions are believed to be part of Pakistan’s nefarious designs perpetrated by its ISI. National Investigation Agency teams are en route to assist in the investigation.

The situation remains tense as authorities work to uncover more details about these incidents. The involvement of Punjab security forces is crucial as they navigate potential threats to regional stability.
